Joanna Wilen, Intern

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here. Whether this is your first time seeking therapy or one step in a long search, I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to look for support. Life has a way of shaping us—stretching, breaking, and rebuilding us. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in old patterns that no longer serve you, therapy can offer the space to exhale, regroup, and rediscover your strength. You don’t have to navigate it alone.

My style is warm, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that healing happens in safe, nonjudgmental spaces. I see therapy as a partnership—you are the expert of your own life, and I’m here to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and practical tools. My hope is to help you feel more grounded, connected, and equipped to meet life with clarity and confidence.

I work with adults, adolescents, and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, neurodivergence (including ADHD), relational conflict, family stress, and major life transitions. I’m particularly passionate about helping couples build healthier communication and intimacy, and supporting individuals who feel misunderstood or out of sync. Whether you’re seeking clarity, growth, or a sense of calm—this space is tailored to you.

I’m an Atlanta native and a current master’s-level clinician in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Richmont Graduate University, under the supervision of Laura Knorr, LMFT. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Alabama, and have worked in youth counseling and pediatric mental health settings across Wyoming and Colorado. Now rooted back in Atlanta, I’d be honored to support you in your healing. Let’s begin when you’re ready.
