Finding a therapist is a journey and I’m glad you landed here! Whether you are going through a tough transition or at the peak of your career, life can be difficult and you don’t have to do it alone. Whatever you are coming with, I will work with you to create a space where you can grow and heal.
My counseling style is trauma-informed and I take time to look at the impact your unique experiences have on your day to day life. I use a variety of methods, but most commonly dialectical behavioral therapy which includes mindfulness and emotion regulation. Some of my areas of focus are depression, anxiety, grief, trauma and loss.
I am a former teacher and I enjoy incorporating creativity and play in sessions. I work with families, individuals, and couples, and I primarily see children, teens, and young adults. I also have experience working with young professionals and women of color who are navigating life transitions.
I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Spelman College and Master’s from Richmont Graduate University with a certificate in Trauma Counseling. There are so many things to look for in a therapist and I will gladly talk with you more to see if we would be a good fit!
It’s brave to ask for support. When you’re ready, I’m here.
